Before embarking on our inaugural Major Events Legacy Study Tour, our delegates received a special Study Tour Prep workshop hosted by tour partners University of Queensland.  

The aim for the evening was for delegates to connect with each other and learn how they can get the most out of our upcoming trip to London and Paris. The workshop focused on some key areas around the “curious mindset” approach both personally and as a group.  

Delegates learnt it can take quite a lot of effort to maintain a curious mindset, especially while travelling and having new experiences. They were advised to build in reflection time daily to test objectives and questions they were exploring.  

They were also encouraged to be prepared with what they are wanting to get out of the study tour while maintaining an open mind to different observers and different views to widen their own understanding.  

The evening was rounded out with how to plan and share learnings once they return to Australia, focusing on a meeting plan, written communications and understanding target audiences for those learnings.
